| In 2006 the United Pharmacopeial Convention
announced a revision to Chapter 61 and added Chapter 62 on Microbiological
Examination of Non-Sterile Products. These changes must be implemented by
May 2009 and have been made to harmonize the United States Pharmacopeia
(USP) with the European Pharmacopeia (EP) and the Japanese Pharmacopeia
